About us

We have a century of qualifications expertise and create, set and mark qualifications for school and colleges all over the world. This includes setting and marking the papers for around half of all GCSE and A-levels taken each year.

We’re an independent charity, which means that we invest any money we make back in to education. For example, we fund research in to new learning techniques and creating exams that give students of all abilities the chance to succeed. We employ more than 1,000 people and work with around 25,000 teachers, lecturers, subject experts and academics. We also create resources.

We’re led by our Corporate Board and governed by a Council of trustees drawn from schools, colleges, higher education, children’s services and the business community.

The history of the site

From 2013 and 2015, the AQA Citizenship Resource Bank was called Teachit Citizenship. During this period, all content published was created by Teachit in collaboration with our dedicated team of teacher contributors. Before 2013 Teachit Citizenship was called Citizenship Teacher and the content was created by Teachit and Collins Education in association with ACT.

Please note that the resources are published here by kind permission of Collins Education and Teachit’s former Citizenship contributors. It may occasionally be necessary to remove a resource from the site at their request.
